Hello and welcome to my very own space on the Internet!
My peers refer to me as a Communications Professional, Scope Aficionado and an Efficiency Expert. My team members like to think of me as more of a Grandma-slash-Teacher and my family adoringly continues to call me a Writer. With 10 years of experience in Communications, Quality, Care, Digital Media, Public Relations & Product Development + Product Management, I can comfortably admit that I have dabbled in more than one area of the outside world.
I was fortunate enough to land my first job as a Copywriter at a production house without a degree in Mass Communication, Literature or Journalism (trust me when I say, it was a prerequisite back then). I was more fortunate to realize that offline wasn’t my cup of tea. Soon, I began my journey as an SEO Content Writer and continued to take steps further into the land of SEO & Software Development. Little did I know, my enthusiasm for words and a great degree of loyalty will convert me to Athlete & Sports Management, and I spent the next 6 years dealing with sports stars, local and international brands, media houses, publications both online and off and was a founding member of a non-profit organization, The Akram Foundation (TAF). I had the opportunity to grow as a leader and develop the skills to successfully close the biggest deals in the country.
Fate has it – my journey took a 360° turn and I found myself in eCommerce taking care of everything right from Content, PR, Design and Digital Media to Quality, Customer Services, Project and Product Management. The switch wasn’t easy but it added to my standing today and fuelled my continued love of everything online. I am a proud Mama to many eCommerce platforms and multiple Mobile Applications. I’ve worked with a bunch of game changers and now uphold my responsibilities as Head of Software Delivery & Product Owner. But words was all where it began – from the age of 5 I’ve been scribbling words and I haven’t been able to stop since. For a very long time, the idea of a published author was my dream, it has slightly altered but the love of the written word continues to be my lifeline.
I have been extremely blessed to have been amongst like-minded individuals who have helped grow my book club KHI BOOK SWAP and have accepted my eccentric love affair with Egyptology. I am looking forward to writing and sharing my thoughts with you (my reader) and look forward to your next visit to a post perhaps about Minimalism or being an entrepreneur before 30.
Thank You & See You Soon!
